I myself wrote a book a couple of years ago and because I did not have the backing of a big publishing house, I opted for POD. Eventually, I did make a nice profit because I had control over the demand and supply of the copies.

The requirements for being accepted into Vendor Central are much higher than for Advantage. It is mostly based on the size and sales of a publisher. It is more elite, thus more desirable to be accepted into, but for end users shopping on the site, it doesn’t make a difference to them which program the book is listed through.
