Sharper Image’s new e-reader, the Literati, gains them a spot in the e-reader market. The new e-reader will be powered by Kobo™ for purchasing books and comes pre-loaded with 25 classics and puts another 125 titles into the users account to access at any time. The reader comes with a color 7” screen and will ship to more than 7,000 stores in October. The price is set at $159.
The Literati focuses on simplicity. While other devices tout versatility and special features, or have cut features in order to lower cost, the Literati claims to have all key features without extra stuff to drive up costs. It lets the reader get right to the book.
