Sony Insider announced that, according to one of their trusted sources, two new e-readers are set to hit the market soon. The PRS-350 and PRS-650 will use E-Ink technology, will be attractively priced, and will be more compact and lighter than previous models with a possible width under 10mm. The PRS-650 is set to have a six-inch screen and the PRS 350 will have a five-inch screen and each will have more capacity than the current Sony Reader models, though capacity has not been confirmed.
Sony has been under pressure to create new e-reader products due to increased competition from their rivals.
